"Raised by Bedouin tribesmen, Frank was a child prodigy among his nomadicpeople, performing with equal facility on rababah, ûd, and simsimiyya. Caught in a clandestine performance of “Little Red Corvette” for an audience of tribal girls, Frank was saved from death only by the intervention of Jesuit missionaries. In America he took up photography and public art mission work. He now lives in a rural Durham County commune with wife Earthfire and sons Slayer and Fang."
